Pubs & Food
Unfortunately, the Crown, our village pub is currently shut for refurbishment till July but there are some other great options nearby:

The Penny Farthing
A 17th-century pub & restaurant that boasts many original features, including exposed beams and brickwork with a large beer garden offering some nice views. A warm welcome from Mary and Les, the food is good, fish and chips are great!

The Alma
Renowned for their live music on weekends, the Alma also run a music festival every summer. Offering some top-notch ales with standard pub fare.

The Farmers Boy
Famous for their pies, this pub has a wide selection of food and a beer garden with swings for the kids. It is also the nearest electric car charge point and you could probably walk home from here after a few jars!

The Moody Cow
Probably the best menu around but also the priciest. They do a cracking roast and have a pizza oven set up in the beer garden for summer.

The Royal Hotel
The food is standard Greene King fare, however, it is steeped in history and has some extraordinary views across Ross-on-wye.
Restaurants
All the nearby half-decent restaurants are in Ross-on-Wye, an 8-minute drive away. Our picks include:

Avellino Italian
Italian restaurant with great portions and a warm welcome. Very reasonably priced and family-friendly.

Yaks and Yetis
It's a great choice if you fancy something a bit different. The menu from Nepal has lots of vegetarian options and is served by friendly staff

No. 3 Restaurant
Modern European menu, serving some great cocktails and buzzy atmosphere

Groceries
You will probably only need to go as far as our amazing village shop, as Mark and Michelle sell most things, including local produce, coffee, cakes and hot pastries.
But if you do need something out of the ordinary, there is a Morrisons, Aldi and Sainsburys in Ross-on-wye.
